Hi All,
We're going through the current issues on github for Csound, sorting
out what needs to get done for 6.04.0 and beyond. One item that I
think needs some attention is getting a 64-bit build of Csound on
Windows, and it seems like we need to collaborate as a community on
this one. Ideally, I think we need something like Michael's "How to
Build Csound for Windows" document, just redone for how to do it for
64-bit csound. I think we also need to make sure it is reproducible
for multiple users. I also think we need to make sure the installer
script can work with both the 32-bit and 64-bit builds, or a separate
installer script is necessary.
Could we get some volunteers that would be willing to help with this?
I think there were already some successful windows 64-bit builds, but
it would be good if we start aggregating the knowledge into a document
and have people able to test this. Perhaps a volunteer too that would
be willing to document (could use the wiki for the time being, then
move to a doc when complete).
Thanks!
steven
